Tom Wulf has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism. He began his career as a reporter/videographer for KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO and WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC, both ABC News affiliates. In his 12 subsequent years with Circuit City, he gained extensive knowledge of audio/video electronics, store management and management training. He joined CarMax in 1997 and spearheaded efforts to build the company's world-class training and communications capabilities, producing more than 50 training videos and video news programs. As Assistant Vice President of Store Operations and Training at CarMax, Tom also gained extensive experience in training development and delivery, multimedia production, print and web communications, marketing strategy and project implementation. His work contributed substantially to CarMax earning a ranking on FORTUNE's 100 Best Companies to Work For five years in a row, and ranking in the top half of Training Magazine's Top 125 Companies for Training Excellence for 2008 and 2009. Since 1999, Tom and frequent collaborator Rob Kelley have also produced the full-length feature videos of the Ashland Musical Variety Show. The majority of proceeds from the sale of the videos have been donated to the show's sponsor, the non-profit Hanover Arts and Activities Center.
